I offer a combination of counselling and coaching in my sessions. Counselling helps you to express what is happening in your life, and you can talk over your cares and concerns. Someone to listen and help you along life's journey.

It can be of great benefit, to have someone listen to us. In our sessions, I will also ask you where you wish to head in life, and we will explore ways to get there.

Some of the tools I draw on in my work include; Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dr Russ Harris's ACT work. You can view videos on these techniques on my blog.

Everyday life has it's ups and downs, and we all face stress and strain now and again, every one of us. That isn't something to be ashamed of, it's just life. I have listed some of the areas I work below, if you would like to see me and what you'd like to talk about isn't listed here, please give me a call and if I am unable to help you, I may be able to refer you to someone with expertise in that area.

Areas I do not work in, that you may be seeking help for...

It takes specialty training to be of assistance to people, and it is of most benefit for you to seek out a therapist who has formal training, if you are seeking help in the following areas... abuse, addiction, any form of drug taking, or excessive drinking, eating disorders, domestic violence, or if you have been experiencing suicidal thoughts - please talk with your GP for a referral to a therapist or service that they recommend, who has specialty training and can help you.

If you have been prescribed medication for depression by a GP, but haven't seen a psychologist or psychiatrist - please ask for a referral, and go and talk over things. While I do not specialise in depression, I am happy to work in conjunction with other therapists within my range of expertise. Some people have found mindfulness practice and deep listening, to be of benefit in these cases.

Going to counselling is a sign of strength. It takes inner strength and self awareness,
to acknowledge that there are areas in life where you are suffering, and to reach out.
