Creative Counselling
"All it takes to become an artist is to start doing art." Dr Ellen Langer
Creating art during your counselling-coaching session. Creating art for emotional healing.
Cultivating Creativity:
In your creative counselling session we will create together, and the session becomes more like a conversation rather than therapy.
In the session, I facilitate some arts exercises that will support you to connect with and cultivate your creativity.
Each of us has a calling to a certain type of creativity - from creating a home and family, to photography, dance or art.
In this session we will explore your own creativity and light that spark.
Mindfulness Art Journalling:
Relax with a mindfulness meditation, and explore some mindfulness techniques during your guided mindful art journal process. Like a delightful day spa for the mind this is a gentle session with time to relax and unwind as well as create.
Self Care Art Journaling:
Taking time out for ourselves is essential, yet sadly depending on the beliefs we hold and the messages we have received from significant others,
can be seen by many as selfish. Who will take your role, who is going to carry on caring for everyone and everything,
if your inner well runs dry? Art journaling is another way of caring for yourself, aside from being creative and insightful, it can be very meditative and calming.
Mandala Drawing Sessions
Creating mandalas is a simple activity that enriches your creative self expression. They help support your self awareness, your personal growth and creative self expression. Mandalas offer a space where we can regain our sense of balance. Mandals activate pathways between mind and body. They facilitate communication between conscious and unconscious. ~ Suzanne Fincher

"When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work.
I told her I worked at the college - that my job was to teach people how to draw.
She stared at me, incredulous, and said, "You mean they forget?" ~ Howard Ikemoto
